..knowing that He will....

February 2012, really only 3 and a half months after opening, Hope for Life Pregnancy Center has had 5 clients in one week..
most of those have voiced how happy they are that "finally" Georgetown has a "place like this"....

after no one showed up for both of the classes we were ready to start last week we were trying very hard not to be discouraged... and really, we had no reason to, but it is hard when you hope that something will come about and then it doesn't...
since then, like I said, we have had 5 clients and the Lord has confirmed His calling once again.

He has been blessing us by allowing us to make many connections each week since we opened and I think the "fruit " of faithfully following His leading is showing..

today after our daily prayer meeting we were joking around about how this is so "very surprising", I guess we had settled into the "Waiting on the Lord" so well, we are surprised how busy we have become, in such a short while...

encountering need and being able to help is such a blessing... I tend to get carried away.. prayed today for wisdom because my compassionate heart wants to embrace and meet all the needs of everyone..
well. that is not our place and it would not be helpful...

 at all times we need to rely on the Lord for all that we need... when we were  working on getting the word out, patiently waiting for those in need to find us, and now, when some of the needs  are breaking our hearts..
He alone is the source of Wisdom and the wonderful thing is that He gives it generously and without finding fault if we ask Him...

our young mom's group will be an ongoing drop in and I invited some of the new clients to come out , the Prenatal class we will offer again in April or so..
God is good all the time!!! #SoliDeoGloria

... Prenatal class tomorrow and Young Moms group on Tuesday... exciting things coming up at Hope for Life Pregnancy Care Center.. preparations are made .. we are ready...

was able to put together another basket, this time all in blue... a little boy was born and we are able to bless the mother with some of the fluffy, soft, light blue things that were given to us..

the little boy just a bit too young for his mom to drag him out for Young Moms group... eventually we hope she will join to connect with other moms and learn some relevant skills a young mother needs..

handed out some more brochures to someone who is busy making connections for us.. from the beginning it seemed that the biggest need around us here is for Post Abortion Counseling.. amazing that this is where my heart is... not a question ever that He is the One that has put us here, we are bursting with the love of Jesus for the ones that need His healing and comfort.. His practical support and guidance..

our prayer is always for lives to be saved, little babies to be born and souls saved for eternity...
when lifting Henry Morgenthaler up each day we ask that someone around him would love him with the love of the Lord.. loving him into the Kingdom.. what a testimony this man would have..

we know that our God is an awesome God and with Him nothing is impossible.. so tomorrow, we will gather again at Hope for Life and will draw close to Him, the One who made us , the One who saved us and the One who called us according to His purposes, that cannot be thwarted... cheerfully we are there to do the good things He in advance has planned out for us..

It is a privilege and a blessing to serve Him!!! #SoliDeoGloria

Monday today, a new week in a new year here at Hope for Life...

2 weeks from today we will start our Free Prenatal class, the Teen Moms group will meet on Tuesday nights..

praying that many of the 130 people that so far clicked on the Facebook adds I put up will show up and we get a chance to get to know the girls and love them with the love Jesus has for them.. give them a safe place to learn and to connect, to be supported and encouraged..

the meetings on Wednesday last week both were tremendously encouraging and wonderful.. it was as if the Lord was saying "Be encouraged" and encouraged we were..

great response from an amazing bunch of community minded pastors and such a huge amount of encouragement from someone who has been in this "business" for 20 years...sharing openly the experience and the wisdom that comes from serving the Lord in this ministry for 2 decades..

so blessed for these connections, all orchestrated by the One who made us, the One who saved us and the One who called us to serve Him with all our hearts..

great meeting last night as a congregation... the brokenness in our world the main focus, and how we as Christians NEED to step out from our nice little bubble and help in practical ways... Hope for Life is doing exactly that and it is great to be part of a whole church that loves the community and wants to give of themselves and engage in meaningful relationships and offer support...

praying that His blessing is on us as we are seeking His will, praying and fasting and striving to be obedient..
His protection is needed as we are engaging in a battle on the front lines... feeling the attacks again and again... your prayers are greatly appreciated!!

can't wait to see the wonderful things He will do!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR Hope for Life....

... almost time to get up, get going for this first morning of Hope for Life 2012..
great things are happening today and I cannot wait...
well, first of all I will have to find our sign again, it might be buried beneath FROZEN snowbanks..
winter...SERIOUSLY..

going back to the Center in itself is such a blessing.
we have been open only 2 months and it still amazes me each day that the Lord would entrust this ministry into the hands of my team and I...

it definitely is Him alone.. none of me, now my team is divinely put together and they ROCK!!!!!

so today, meeting with a whole bunch of pastors, presenting to them this ministry... the cool part is that I know 2 of those guys, and one has been so very supportive already...

later a meeting with a director of another place like ours and that is amazing as well.

then we will have to get ready for the classes we are going to offer come January 23.. ( my birthday.. :)
advertising and such... praying that the Lord will use the Prenatal class and the Teen Moms group to bring those girls we already love inside the doors of Hope for Life..

He is faithful and He DID call us.. so we are waiting patiently for Him to open the flood gates... let it rain Lord, let it rain... let us be the vessels through which your love, grace and mercy will flow to those that need you... your acceptance, salvation and eternal blessing..

... Hope for Life Pregnancy Center had a very blessed day today..
today we officially got our "own pastor".... yes, we now have a pastor to minister to us and hold us accountable, to join our prayer times and support us in any way possible....
great meeting today with Pastor Bob whose care we now are under...
was asked by our senior pastor a while ago if the church could highjack our name... Hope for Life...
the house next door that the church purchased will be that... a beacon of Hope for Life... Life eternal for Halton... ministries like Celebrate Recovery, Divorce Care and the Pregnancy Center will be moving in there in the near future...
the Hope we have in Christ.. His strength that helps us when living our own personal "story" allows us to have compassion and real empathy for the people in our community that do not know Him.. we can go outside and tell them about Who our hope is in.. Jesus Christ who gave His life so that we could have hope and life abundant.. a peace and a joy, no matter the circumstances..

January 16, 2012 Hope for Life Pregnancy Care Center will start a Prenatal Class and a Teen Moms group. Posters have been made and High schools and Youth Centres have been notified, we will advertise on Facebook and in the Newspaper...

today was another day God chose to confirm His plan for this ministry, His care and faithfulness... hearts in sync with Him and each other.. I don't think it get's any better..
a Lighthouse of Hope... on Main Street in Georgetown....  a dark world will receive Hope, just like 2000 years ago when the Saviour was born... by His grace and His strength He gives us the privilege to be part of what He is doing... we will always praise and thank Him...

May you all have a very Merry Christmas... and may you get a glimpse of who He really is, as you draw closer to Him and He will be indeed faithful and draw closer to you!!!

... the Miracle of Life... let's shout it from the rooftops..

... today I watched a few of the videos we have in our resource library for the volunteers..
so far I have not felt the need to watch some of the more graphic videos, but today I just felt I wanted to...
so I did..
I did not steel myself against what would come my way.. it is kind of interesting how I am now able to just relax and open my arms to let the pain that comes my way just come...
I have had an abortion and I have worked through a long process of depression, shame, guilt and finally forgiveness and healing..
I didn't know what I was going to feel seeing those images, but I just knew I needed to watch it now...
the images were graphic and it was painful to see just what happens every time a baby is aborted.
I was surprised that these images still failed to make me feel guilt again.. it proved to me that I definitely have been set free..
what it did though was to clarify something for me...
since I embarked on that path that I am on now I have had a passion for women to find healing for a past abortion, I have become passionate about praying for the pregnant women to choose life over abortion, I am passionate about reaching out in love and support with the unconditional love of Jesus..
in all this I am fully aware just how controversial this topic is and how the Christian community has shied away from boldly standing up for what is the truth..
political correctness and tiptoeing around the issue as to not offend anyone... I am becoming more and more sure about that this is not the way to change the world..
Jesus when He saw the moneylenders in the temple did not pussyfoot around it... He was angry and He took care of the situation.. He made His point of view clear to all around... yes, He paid with His life.. but this was God's plan all along.. in it He redeemed all those that were His Father's...
so... after what Jesus has done we cannot hide, we cannot try to be politically correct Christians... we cannot hide the reason we are doing what we are doing..
it is all about Hope for Life, Hope for Eternal Life...it is about getting the word out that Life is sacred, that it starts the moment of conception... it is a human being in that womb and having an abortion is killing it...
as followers of Christ we are not condemning , we don't even act out of anger.. but we do not hide the truth, we love and support and we tell the truth.
this is why today I purchased the rights to publish the little video clip "The Miracle of Life" and uploaded it to the website...
maybe someone who is shaking and leaning towards abortion will not come to Hope for Life because she can find out on our website who we are and what we stand for... but she will have been exposed to the truth... and the truth is what sets us free..
as I am walking on the path that God has called me on,  walking on it with the precious women God has brought together for such a time as this, I am more sure than ever that it is not about pleasing men but about pleasing God... and He called me to stand up for what is right... no matter the cost.. and His will will be done at Hope for Life Pregnancy Care Center as it is in Heaven... Trusting Him and choosing to step out in faith rather than hiding in fear...

last night 18 of us... (14 active Hope for Life people, one of us not there, away on vacation, and 4 friends and future volunteers ) went to the Halton Pro Life Annual Banquet...

our display table ... beautifully showing what we are all about... our babies, books, DVDs, one pink and one yellow layette... brochures and posters... pregnancy test etc...

great food and fun, silent auction bidding.... graciously promoted by the great people of Halton Pro Life... this night brought tears to my eyes not just once...

 a young girl singing,  a beautiful voice and an even more beautiful heart never fails to resonate with my inner most being..

the speaker, a man after God's own heart...  always impressed by someone who has the ability to state facts and argue truth in simple words, that's the black and white person in me..

this man, Scott Klusendorf, is the founder and president of Life Training Institute (LTI).  he travels throughout the United States and Canada training pro-life advocates to defend their views in the public square and to make their case persuasively in the marketplace of ideas.

a humble man of God, he gave us all a great tool to counter the arguments of people that have totally bought into the culture of relativism, a theory holding that truth or moral or aesthetic value, etc., is not universal or absolute but may differ between individuals or cultures ... a culture in which it is okay to do and believe whatever you like, as long as you do not claim that your theory or belief is truth, is the right way of looking at an issue.... there is tolerance for everything and everyone under the sun, but not for the one that, like we as Christians say that there indeed is Truth... and the opposite of it.. lies..

it is okay to believe that killing the unborn is wrong, and to never do it yourself, but you cannot "push" this on anyone else...  this has been the couple reactions we got from people that were offended by us saying there was an absolute truth here...
the truth that it is wrong to kill, and just because an embryo is very small (Size) it's  level of development is in it's beginning (Level of development) it's environment is inside the womb (Environment) and it fully depends on the mother for everything it needs (Dependency) is still the truth...the embryo still is a human being... it will grow, it's development will go on, it will change it's "address" after 9 months of growing from inside to outside of the womb, and it will slowly continue to be less dependent on the mother after those 9 months of total dependency...

Scott stated that if those categories 4 categories (SLED) should determine someone's right to life.. what about a newborn, still pretty small and very dependent.. or a toddler, a little bigger but not very independent yet..

he went on to speak about our duty... to love the unborn and it's mother as our neighbours... deep and profound, this is what Hope for Life and any other Pregnancy Center is all about...  loving the unborn and to love the mother with truth that can transform her... only the Exchange, Christ's Righteousness for our Sinfulness is going to help any of us, no matter what we are facing...

a blessing to be at the Halton Pro Life Banquet last night... a blessing to be called to extend this love and wisdom from God to those that He is bringing to us....
tears welling up from my soul once again... feeling at home and in the right place last night.. God is so very good.... He blessed us once again!
